Senior Product Designer

Job description

Do you want to become part of an experienced and highly motivated team? Do you want to have a meaningful impact on the financial services industry? If so, then we have a great opportunity for you.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our RegTech company.

You're a strong team player, proactive, and a natural communicator. You solve problems with a positive, teamwork, and "can-do" attitude. If you're also a fast learner, passionate about technology and always looking forward to learning about new techniques and innovations, you're the perfect candidate for our RegTech company. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be a key member of the product team where you’ll be involved in the entire product development process from initial strategic direction to pixel-perfect fine-tuning in production. You will assist in the definition of the entire user journey: from crafting the user experience and designing high fidelity interfaces, to helping shape the design strategy of Apiax. Our product represents the heart of the company, so this role is of the utmost importance.

What you will be tasked to do:

  • Create thoughtful and appropriate solutions to design challenges of all sizes, by translating research insights into simple and engaging user interfaces that satisfy user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.

  • You’ll be working collaboratively with your team (product owners, engineers, and stakeholders) in defining the best solutions for our products and in supporting the execution and development of applications.

  • You’ll be part of the entire life-cycle of these applications - from problem definition, research, design, up to delivery. Furthermore, you will be expected to measure and analyse the impact of the delivered features.

  • You will lead the design process, facilitate design discussions, and help the team and the business understand your solutions by working them through your thought process and decisions.

  • You’re expected to use qualitative and quantitative data to identify important product insights and identify opportunities to collect feedback to make informed choices.

  • You’ll own the definition of tags/trackers for analytic data with the support of your team and will actively use that analytic data to identify opportunities to create value for our customers and highlight potential existing pain points.

What we can offer you:

  • Broad-based responsibility in an uprising RegTech company

  • Fast-growing, diverse, and international team of tech enthusiasts

  • An office in the heart of Lisbon

  • Flexible working hours

  • You have 5+ years of experience designing digital products;

  • We don’t expect a formal degree, but your depth and domain of knowledge is equivalent to that of a BA/BSc/MA in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Systems, Design or similar;

  • Deep knowledge of a broad range of UX research methods and passion to share this knowledge with others;

  • Comprehensive understanding in applying user-centered design methodologies to tackle complex product problems;

  • Experience defining, conducting, and analysing usability sessions with end-users;

  • Comfortable with end-to-end processes—from discovery to execution, lo-fi & hi-fi prototyping skills;

  • You have experience setting up and analysing analytics data (Google Analytics, Data Studio) and are able to communicate and provide valuable quantitative insights to your team and stakeholders;

  • You will have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills including written and spoken English, and clear and objective communication skills adjusting to POs, developers, and other team members.

Join our RegTech company and be a part of something big.
